Description

Use:

  • To sprinkle - you can sprinkle everything with sunflower seeds, you will like them in both sweet porridges or vegetable salads
  • Baking - sprinkle your home-made pastry with sunflower seeds or add them directly into the dough
  • Roasting - sunflower seeds will get a pleasant nutty flavour if you roast them in the oven at 140 °C (15 minutes) or on a pan (approximately 8 minutes), then you can add seasoning
  • Butter - you can make butter from sunflower seeds, the butter can then be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks, just mix approximately 250 g of sunflower seeds for about 10 minutes, until the consistency is creamy
  • Milk - soak 100 g of sunflower seeds over night, strain the water in the morning, add 900 ml of fresh water and blend, strain at the end and your milk will last fresh in the refrigerator for 3 days, if you add less water, you can prepare cream
  • Cheese - sunflower seeds and cashew nuts in the ratio of 50:50, a little bit of water, blend until smooth cream is obtained and your delicious fresh cheese is ready to be served
  • Spread - sunflower seeds can be combined with legumes, cooked vegetables, mushrooms or tofu an blend it all until the spread is prepared
  • Pesto - sunflower seeds taste great along with basil, parsley and hemp seeds
  • Crumb topping - mix 50 g of sunflower seeds (you can also combine them with nuts), 150 g of oat flakes, 6 tablespoons of rice syrup and 4 tablespoons of coconut oil

Sunflower seeds are obtained from sunflowers that we originally imported from America only as decorative plants. The seeds are sold peeled, yet they can be germinated within two days. Soaking sunflower seeds takes a shorter time than other seeds, it only takes 2 hours. The seeds are then softer, more digestible and tastier.

Peeled sunflower seeds. May contain traces of gluten, peanuts, soybeans, nuts and sesame.

Store at temperatures up to 20 ° C and relative humidity up to 70%.
