Description
Despite its name, nutmeg is not a nut; it is the core of peach fruit. It has a delicately aromatic scent and a strong spicy flavour with a slightly pungent end. It gets on well with cheese or cream dishes. It gives a great taste to mashed potatoes and other potato dishes. You can use it as a favouring to sweet dishes. Only a pinch is enough to get a satisfactory flavour.
