Description
Jalovec je tmavě fialový a má unikátní, sladko-dřevitou chuť s jehličnatými tóny. Výborně ladí s tučnějším a chuťově výrazným masem, ke zvěřině, přidává se do kysaného zelí nebo marinád, ve kterých hraje další roli červené víno. Neztratí se ani ve sladkých jídlech, jako je například ovocné želé. Staří Germáni tyto temně fialové bobule uctívali a stromy chránily. Věřili, že pokud někdo odsekne větve z jalovce, přijde o zvíře z chovu.
