Pea does not need to be pre-soaked and is cooked for about 35 minutes. It has been a well-known legume in Europe since the 6th century. When cooked properly, the green pea tends not to get overcooked, and is firm after being cooked. When blended, pea does not create cream but rather flour because it has a more solid consistency. If you have a flatulency problem, you can add a calamint or basil when cooking the pea.
