Use cardamom for sweet and salty food. It can be used in gingerbread and other types of pastry. New taste dimensions conjure up in fruit salads or compotes. You can make baked apples little bit different with a pinch of freshly ground cardamom.
You can also use it to spice meat or vegetable dishes to give it an oriental taste. A pinch of cardamom can flavour tea or coffee. On the other way around, their taste will soften nicely. Use cardamom rather sparingly. Its distinctive taste could easily outweigh taste of other ingredients of the dish.
