Description
Grade C maple syrup has a more distinctive maple taste and it is a bit darker than Grade A maple syrup. It is a traditional Canadian product - it's a concentrated Canadian maple sap. Maple syrup is produced by drilling openings into mature trees through which the sap flows into receptacles. Trees can live up to 250 years, the sap is produced at the age of 50 to 80 years. 35-40 litres of sap are needed per one litre of syrup. The raw sap contains up to 97% water, which then evaporates until the syrup is obtained. In organic production, strict care is taken to ensure that maples that produce the sap are mature and that taking the sap does not affect their development.
Organic food always goes through a system of checks and certifications that ensures their quality and enables them to bear this designation. Their organic quality is particularly appreciated by people with an interest in organic farming and a sustainable farming system.
