Description
When producing the date syrup, dried dates are mixed with water, blended, filtered, and the juice obtained is concentrated to the desired density. Date syrup is dark, aromatic, quite dense with a characteristic flavour. For it is sweet taste, it is a traditional sweetener in the Middle East.
Date syrup fits perfectly in both cold and hot dishes. Its characteristic flavour will be best recognized with neutral food, such as tofu cream, white yogurt, cottage cheese. It is suitable to put in the oatmeal or other breakfast porridge, pancakes, but also to sweeten grain coffee.
Date syrup contains 15-30% fructose, 17-40% glucose and 3-34% sucrose.
