Description
Carob (midsummer bread) is a tasty alternative to cocoa. It comes from a tree called carob, which grows mainly in the Middle East. It has been cultivated here for at least 4000 years. Because of its naturally sweet taste, carob does not require sugar enrichment. Due to its fine consistency, it is not necessary to add large amounts of fat, which is common in chocolate production.
