Description
Ecover is one of the best-selling brands of organic detergents. Ecover products are made from plant-based or mineral-based ingredients and contain no oil components. Their packaging is recyclable and the detergents themselves are ecologically degradable, so the impact on the nature is minimal. Ecover does not test its products on animals and the products are suitable also for sensitive skin. Ecover has been awarded by the United Nations for its outstanding environmental operation.
Frans Bogaerts established Ecover with his co-workers in 1979. Their first product was the washing powder and during the next years, they have developed products for the whole household. In 1992 Ecover built an organic factory in Malle, Belgium. The main goal of the company is the environmentally friendly maintenance of the household.
