Description
Use:
- Cold preparation - mix the tea with 2 dl of water and mix properly, you can flavour it with a lime juice or with a fruity syrup (we recommend trying the elder-berry syrup)
- Hot preparation - pour the tea with hot water (2 dl, 65 °C) and mix properly, you will again enjoy your beverage with a lime juice, but with honey as well, you can smoothen the tea with milk or with its plant-based alternative
Production of this tea is very demanding and only a few Japanese farmers know its process. The plant called the tea-plant gets completely shaded 4 weeks before the harvest, which will ensure chlorophyll overproduction in the plant. It gets a rich green colour and the final beverage has a characteristic sweet taste. Leaves are collected exclusively by hand and processed in a factory called Aracha.
In the factory, leaves are infused and then dried. Dried leaves are carefully sorted and poor quality leaves are removed. The tea is also removed from all other dirt, such as peduncles or twigs. After sorting, the leaves are cut and ground in granite mills. For the final mixture, various varieties are mixed to achieve the highest quality.
Organic food always goes through a system of checks and certifications that ensures their quality and enables them to bear this designation. Their organic quality is particularly appreciated by people with an interest in organic farming and a sustainable farming system.
