Use:
- Spread - it is very tasty when just spread on pastry, for a sweet option you can spread your favourite marmalade on the top, the cashew cream fits perfectly into pancakes
- Sauce - you can add the cashew cream into a hot meal (for example to rice, buckwheat or vegetables), the cream will melt and the meal will have an interesting taste and will not be so dry
- Unbaked desserts - the cashew cream is a great binder for unbaked cookies, you just need to blend it with dried fruit, seeds, carob, form the mixture into little balls, which you can cover in cocoa for example
- Beverages - try to add a little bit of the cashew cream into your favourite smoothie before blending
- Soups - cream soups can be decorated with a little bit of the cashew cream before serving
- Baking - the cashew cream can be used for baking as well, it is normally added to dough (for cookies) and sometimes it is added even to a cake cream
Cashew nuts grow on a 12-meter-high tree called the Cashew tree. The tree is cultivated in the tropics and comes from Brazil. The fruit of the tree is called "cashew apple" and there are edible achenes inside of it, which we know as cashew nuts.
